ABOUT 'CASA MADDEN' Looking for seclusion, luxury and relaxation? Look no further! 'Casa Madden' offers very special self contained accommodation in a unique area near to Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Many guests return each year to enjoy this secluded paradise, just moments away from the relaxing Las Dunas beach. Cabopino yacht marina, with it's many restaurants, beach bars and large family beach with sheltered bay for swimming and water sports, is just a few minutes walk. The tranquil house and gardens are an uplifting haven with views across natural sand dunes to the sea. The dunes are now designated a nature preservation area and have a variety of bird life, native wild flowers and maritime pines. There is a choice of good local beach restaurants and chiringuitos with views across the Mediterranean to Gibraltar and the Riff Mountains of Morocco. 'Casa Madden' is conveniently situated in a quiet area halfway between Marbella, just 10 minutes away, and Fuengirola. The exclusive Puerto Banus yacht marina is just 20 minutes away. A good choice of local golf courses and shops. So if you are looking to relax all day or intersperse walking, golfing or shopping, 'Casa Madden' is a perfect base, away from the tourist hot spots and with a unique feeling of privacy and well being. LOCAL TRANSPORT We recommend car hire from Helle Hollis, who have been established here since 1982 and give a good and reliable service, Our Home Owners Club Membership gives you discount and advantages. Personal airport collection and delivery available on request, price 60 euros each way.
There is an excellent bus service, within
walking distance, ideal for local travel and sightseeing. Malaga airport
is just 35 minutes by car. There is an excellent frequent coach service
from the airport direct to Marbella bus station (price 4 euros). Also a
good rail link from the airport to Fuengirola. Gibraltar is a 45 minute
drive, where you can also take a Dolphin Safari.
EXCURSIONS
As owners we are always at hand and various
excursions can be arranged such as day trips to Granada, Seville, Ronda,
Morocco. Also culinary classes, wine and olive oil tasting, boat
excursions and dolphin watching.
Traditional Flamenco Andalus in Marbella Old
Town, Andalusian dancing horses, horseback riding excursions beachside
or mountainside.
During the winter months there is snow
skiing in Sierra Nevada, about 2 hours away. There is year round golf
with a selection of good local golf courses complete with rental of all
golfing equipment.
